#wnf16 time and innovation

On the Wired Fest stage, there will be 150 guests that will talk about innovation and its effect in every aspect of the social life: science, politics, culture, economy and technology.

This year, Time is the main topic: it’s the dimension that is more subjected to changes because of the continuous technological innovation that keeps shaking up every day rhythms, everyday faster, changing our habits, telling us what to listen, how to do exercise, what’s the shortest way, and so on and so forth.

Another aspect, is the natural perception of life, altered so that it can dare to be eternal. Technological information in the scientific field has realized by now many promises made on longevity and now it wants to defeat aging, to be forever young or to avoid death… just think about cryogenic conservation of human bodies.

On these topics there will be two meetings during the first day, and particularly interesting: the first one will see Ferruccio De Bortoli, journalist, taking about Now-a-day journalism while in the second one, Umberto Veronesi and other researchers will answer to the question: will we be able to stop aging? Both will be at the Wired Dome.

Technology these days with Assange and Elbakyan

Among the most wanted guests, there will be Julian Assange, founder of Wikileaks, live streaming from the Wired Dome. At the Next Dome, there will be something interesting too, with Alexandra Elbakyan the Robin Hood of science and founder of Sci-Hub, a free access database with more than 47 million scientific articles. There will also be Lawrence Lessing, US jurist founder of Creative Commons.
