Milan is becoming more and more international and globalized. A city that grows and evolves thanks to its metropolitan character, entrepreneurial spirit and the desire of changing. During these days, wandering around the streets of Milan, you can breathe a fresh and dynamic air. The city seems transforming, becoming more and more international and with a lot of incentives. Everything thanks to the Design Week? Surely this event contributes and makes it easier for your designers, makers and creatives from all over the world to be recognized but we must not forget that Milan is always moving, all year long, especially in some areas like the Lambrate one, where young talents experiments and surge their creativity with new projects. And it’s during this week that empty buildings and desert street become alive and colorful, bringing more life to the lively Ventura Lambrate district.

Lambrate: a lab of ideas

Lambrate, from an industrial area, became the center of innovation in Milan. From the 50’s on, the urban landscape drastically changed, thanks to the transformation of spaces and the fact that old factories are now a place where creative people get together, experiment. This area is where new ideas are created and developed, where there is talent and creativity, maintaining a string cultural and territorial identity.

If you want to touch and see the most creative, strange, eccentric and surprising creations, you need to stop by where the Ventura Lambrate District is, the real soul of this 2016 Fuorisalone edition, a must for students and for your and weird designers. All around there is an international air, you can visit a gallery and have a drink, there are a lot of food trucks from where you can also eat. The music and the crowd resemble the typical east London atmosphere, and even if we are just in the East of Milan, it really seems like we are in Berlin or London.

And like the other European capitals, even in Milan there is a contamination of genres, cultures, ideas that you can find in the shapes of the objects and art made by this designers and artists. The city is the real protagonist…a stage to experiment and innovate, maybe becoming a new international reference point to launch new trends and projects.
